INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information we collect from you allows you to log into our website and register for and/or set up registration for you or your organization’s own events.  Information includes:

  • Account Registration - When you create an Event Director Account with us or register for an event, we may ask you to provide the following information: First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone #, Mailing Address, Company, Title, Username, Password, Birth Date, Gender, and Subscription Preferences.
  • Participant Registration - Depending on the event, participants may register using either the registration process operated by RDS or an independent registration system arranged by the Event Director using a vendor that is not affiliated by RDS. Any personal information collected by such unaffiliated vendors is subject to the privacy policy of those vendors, and RDS makes no representations or warranties as to what personal information is collected or how it might be used. Personal information collected through registration hosted by RDS may include your personal contact information, and specific information as requested by the Event Director.  Event specific data may include information pertaining to personal characteristics/qualities associated with the administration of the event and participant categories, such as gender and age. The registration for a particular event may also require you to agree to specific waivers or other terms and conditions pertaining to the event, and independent of RDS.
  • Cookies - RDS collects information about your use of the RDS website features using cookies and log files. Cookies are small bits of data that our website automatically places on your computer to allow RDS to customize your experience by recognizing you as a registered user whenever you return to our site from the same computer and browser. RDS servers automatically generate log files that may contain the IP address you visit from, your browser type, the date, time and duration of your visit, and the particular pages you view.
  • Web Beacons - RDS may collect information about your online behavior through web beacons or similar technology. This information may include advertising responses, websites that you visit, products that you purchase, and other behavioral data. Web beacons are tiny graphic images that are unobtrusively placed on a website or in an e-mail. When the HTML code for the web beacon points to a site to retrieve the image, it simultaneously passes information to the RDS servers, such as the IP address of the computer that retrieved the image, the time and duration the web beacon was viewed, the type of browser that retrieved the image, and previously set cookie values.
  • Credit Card Information - RDS may collect your credit card number(s) and related information, such as the expiration date of the card. If you submit credit card information to RDS, that information is encrypted and protected with SSL encryption software. RDS will use the information for purposes of processing and completing only those transactions you approve, and the information will be disclosed to third parties only as necessary to complete a specific transaction. RDS does not store or hold credit card information after the credit request is completed.
  • Payment Information - RDS may collect your banking information, such as Direct Deposit and check payable information.  RDS does not store or hold this information after the payment is complete.
  • Children - Parents have the right to consent to the collection and use of personal information from children under the age of 13 without also consenting to the disclosure of such information to outside third parties, except in order to provide the services. RDS does not share personal information collected from Children with third parties for any purpose other than to provide the services.
  • Private Logging - As with all trusted websites, whenever you visit any web page there’s information that gets sent to web servers. The main purpose is to get an understanding of what pages are popular, what other sites link to that one and the web browser used. We do the same here at RDS. The only way we will be using this information is to create our site statistics. No individual data is logged by our website, except to maintain usernames and password lists and in some cases to track abuses and abusers.
  • Abusers - We may look at individual IP addresses of users to try and correlate such addresses and usernames with abuse of the RDS site.

INFORMATION SECURITY
We have implemented commercially reasonable precautions, including, where appropriate, password protection, encryption, and secure socket layering to protect our website and the information we collect from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware that despite our best efforts, no data security measures can guarantee 100% security all of the time. RDS makes no guarantee against unauthorized access to your information. RDS is not responsible for any lost, stolen or compromised passwords, or for any activity on your account via unauthorized password activity.

There are a few instances in which we may release personal data of RDS users. The RDS Privacy Policy does not permit the public distribution of personal data for any reason, except as described below. These instances are as follows:

  • To comply with relevant law and respond to legal requests from law enforcement agencies, courts and other government agencies.
  • With the permission of the user in question.
  • When needed for investigation of abuse complaints.
  • When the information is needed to resolve technical issues.
  • RDS may sell or transfer your personal information to third parties in connection with any merger, acquisition, reorganization, change in capital structure, sale of all or substantially all of the assets of RDS.
  • RDS may sell or transfer summary data (non-individualized information) to third parties, including summary or aggregated anonymous information about all or sub-groups of RDS users.

  • RDS may share your personal information and credit-card information to third-party payment processing services and similar vendors as part of your registration or purchase of products or other services on RDS.
