DESCRIPTION: California's biggest whitewater festival to benefit American Whitewater is held annually on the fourth weekend in September.

This year's festival will include a film festival, ACA sponsored Class II Slalom and Class V Downriver races, primitive camping, food truck, beer, party, silent acution, prize drawings and recreational releases form Rock Creek Dam for boating opportunities on the North Fork Feather River.

This event is fun for everyone with stretches of river for all levels of boaters.  It's a family friendly weekend, though after 10pm Saturday's party is more appropriate for adults.

Proceeds from the weekend go towards supporting American Whitewater in their mission to conserve and restore America's whitewater resources and to enhance opportunities to enjoy them safely.  By supporting AW, you are supporting your voice to be heard when river access, water quality and recreational flow releases are at stake!

There is FREE camping at the Festival site.  Additional free camping is available one mile up-stream at Roger's Flat or one mile down-stream at Tobin Vista.  Parking is tight, CARPOOL!

There is no shuttle service; however, there are hundreds of cool boater folks just like you...just meet your neighbor for guaranteed fun times and great boating!

NO OPEN FIRES!  Fires are a serious hazard in California right now.  Please do not park on dry grass or leave your car running unattended!  You are required to have a free permit from the forest service web site for using any camp stove.  Fire marshals do visit the Festival every year, so be sure to bring a print out of your permit!  Get yours here:
